Who can apply for
assistance from the fund?


Applicants must be employed by CES or its affiliates on the date of the application, regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, or on approved medical leave or approved leave of absence for less than one year. Only employees with annual earnings of less than $75,000 are eligible.

What qualifies?

  • Natural disasters
  • Terrorist actions
  • Violent crimes
  • Domestic abuse
  • Disaster resulting from an accident involving common carriers (buses, trains, ferries, planes, etc.)
  • Military deployment (employee, spouse, or domestic partner called to active duty)
When can you apply
for a grant?


CES employees can apply for a grant up to 90 days after a qualifying event.

How much money
can I apply for?


The maximum amount available for each incident is $5,000 and the minimum amount that can be requested is $1,000.
